What is Industrial Interface?

Industrial Interface is an online marketplace that enables a more efficient design process between Buyers (engineers & sourcing professionals) and Sellers (sales engineers & manufacturer's representatives).

Inability by Buyers to find and procure products that solve their highly technical industrial problems often creates a lengthy and over-budget design process. Industrial Interface connects Buyers and Sellers early in this process by leveraging Sellers' ability to recognize complex solutions from problems posted to the Industrial Interface website by Buyers.

Industrial Interface is unique because it matches Buyers with the actual people who have the solutions at the exact moment when Buyers are ready to make a purchase.

Why did we start Industrial Interface?

Buyers are already dependent on Sellers to supply complex and custom solutions to satisfy their industrial research, design and manufacturing (IRDM) needs. While attempting to find each other, Sellers waste time chasing unqualified leads, and Buyers can only contact Sellers based on prior experience or extensive research. Buyers test handfuls of solutions from a few similar Sellers, while novel paths go undiscovered.

After a lengthy search process and expensive application testing, Buyers are often forced to settle for a mediocre solution to their problem. This occurs because Buyers lack exposure to the incredible array of materials, components, and services in the IRDM market, and because solutions from every niche require deep technical understanding to find and apply. In the consumer market, relatively simple products and a lack of diversity due to low margins means this problem does not exist.

Current systems such as vertical search, trade shows, trade publications, corporate websites and Internet search generally don t solve the need to find and apply the optimal solution at the onset of a problem. These systems either connect Buyers with generic corporate entities or lead them to ideas that require further investigation. Old-fashioned networking and print advertising is currently Sellers' best hope for lead generation.

We believe that by creating a system where Sellers review a Buyer's initial problem early in the design process, significant errors can be avoided, and the number of iterations required to successfully complete projects will be reduced across the entire industry.

The founding members of Industrial Interface have worked in all facets of industry as Buyers and Sellers. We adamantly want to revolutionize industrial research, design, and manufacturing by eliminating current knowledge barriers. Freedom of information through sharing of industrial experience and knowledge is our primary goal.

The Founders

Industrial Interface was conceived by two friends who were tired of inneficiencies at their jobs--Manufacturing Engineer (a Buyer) and Sales Engineer (a Seller).
